Remove or reorder PDF pages: manage document order

Published 2026-08-24 · Tutorial

A contract has a blank page you want gone, or a report reads better with two sections swapped. Here is how to remove or reorder PDF pages without touching the rest of the file.

Rearranging and removing pages in a PDF document

When you need page control

PDFs arrive with scanned duplicates, blank dividers or chapters out of sequence. Instead of rebuilding the whole document, you can drop a few pages or move others into the right order and keep the rest untouched.

Delete the pages you do not need

With a page-removal tool like Remove PDF pages, select the blank, duplicated or surplus pages and export the cleaned file. The remaining page numbers renumber automatically, so the result reads cleanly.

Rearrange into the right order

To reorder, load the pages and drag them into the sequence you want, or set page ranges directly. This is handy to put a table of contents first, move an appendix to the end or swap two misplaced chapters.

Combine with splitting and merging

For bigger edits, split the document into chunks with Split PDF, then assemble exactly what you want with Merge PDF. Reordering and removing pages keeps all formatting and quality of the originals.
